These plans include drawings, tool and material lists and written instructions for stitch-and-glue plywood-fiberglass construction. stitch-and-glue construction is well suited to the beginning boat builder. at approximately 275lbs. for a finished 15' boat, plywood-fiberglass boats weigh less than most aluminum or molded fiberglass boats.. Many designers are offering plans for stitch and glue plywood boats. i have some plywood boat plans links here. some plans are free. a large number of traditional designs are being re-designed to be suitable for stitch and glue method of boatbuilding.. The workstar 17 concept of plywood/epoxy boat building was the result of a co-operation between working boats uk ltd (the predecessor of pacific workboats cc) and the humphreys yacht design prefix system(tm), which enabled people with no experience in building boats to put together, from a comprehensive kit of profiled parts, epoxy and frp tape.

Spira boats - easy to build boat plans. plywood boat build - selway fisher wren - youtube. basically, stitch and glue boats are constructed by gluing panels of plywood together using epoxy resin and fiberglass. the stitching is used to hold the panels in place while the glue is applied and allowed to cure... Again, ill try to get some epoxy from home depot, though worse case, if i can't buy enough, i will order some epoxy from a boat suppliers. over this i will then use fiberglass matting to help bond.
